Alternative dispute resolution

Outcome-focused support for compromise, ensuring discussions remain constructive and aligned with your objectives. We help individuals, organisations and insurers resolve disputes efficiently and proportionately, avoiding the cost, delay and uncertainty of litigation.

We assist with all aspects of alternative dispute resolution, from early stage negotiation and without prejudice correspondence to structured settlement meetings and mediation. Our work focuses on identifying realistic outcomes, managing expectations and navigating sensitive issues with care. Whether you need strategic advice behind the scenes or fully present support during discussions, we are on hand to provide guidance throughout.

With a focus on practicality, our approach supports you in resolving disputes in a way that protects relationships, reduces stress and delivers meaningful closure.

What can we assist with?

  • Strategic negotiation support: Providing clear guidance on negotiation strategy, risk assessment and realistic settlement parameters.

  • Behind the scenes support: Offering calm and confidential support to help you prepare for discussions, understand leverage points and negotiate yourself with confidence.

  • Preparation of without prejudice correspondence: Drafting persuasive communications that progress negotiations while protecting your position.

  • Representation at settlement discussions: Attending and conducting settlement meetings, mediation and without prejudice discussions on your behalf to secure proportionate and workable outcomes.

  • Support with mediation: Assisting with mediator selection, preparation of position statements and representation through the mediation process.

  • Documentation of settlement terms: Preparing clear, practical settlement agreements and ensuring terms are workable and capable of implementation. In any matter involving the employment tribunal, advice will be required from a union representative or employment solicitor. In cases where you are the claimant, we will seek the cost of this from the respondent.

  • Post-settlement support: Helping you implement agreed terms, manage follow up actions and ensure resolution is fully and effectively completed.

  • Next steps strategy where resolution is not achieved: Providing considered guidance on your options following an unresolved mediation or settlement meeting, including reassessing negotiation parameters or preparing proportionate escalation.
